This dog was found emaciated and malnourished, fighting to survive
On November 1, a couple discovered a dog inside the old house they had just purchased. The dog seemed to have been locked up for quite some time before they found him.
Marisa from Coração100dono took him to the veterinarian because he was malnourished and had bones that were protruding through his skin.
The real estate agent stated that the previous owner did not have a dog, so it is assumed that Valentine was abandoned inside the house since the gate was locked and he couldn’t escape. No one saw him until the couple entered.
For several weeks, the dog had only rainwater to drink and was infected with fleas and parasites, as can be seen today. However, his eyes showed that he had the will to survive.
Marisa brought him to her shelter the following day. Valentine’s story quickly became popular on social media.
Valentine’s appetite has returned, and he is eating with enthusiasm. Marisa also took him for a long-awaited walk outside. Our boy gained a kilo three days after his rescue…
Now, he can walk properly and play with his companions. Although he still has a long way to go, he can sleep in a warm place now.
